After the remarkable success of OnePlus One smartphone, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus is all set to create some buzz once again with its next-generation "Flagship Killer" known as the OnePlus 2.
Shenzhen-based mobile company OnePlus released its first device, the OnePlus One on April 23 last year, and exclusively on Amazon in India. This device garnered lots of positive reception from the critics and customers for its high-end quality specs with a lower price than other phones in its class.
Now, the OnePlus has sent out the media invites for the launch of its next-gen flagship OnePlus 2 in the Indian market scheduled for July 28. The invite says, "If you think 'Seeing is believing', Join us on 28th July".
OnePlus 2 - Expected Specifications
As far as specs concerned, OnePlus 2 is expected to come packed with 5.7-inch full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC (v2.1), 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 16MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Oxygen OS, 3300mAh battery.
Moreover, there was news surrounding the overheating issues on the Snapdragon 810 SoC earlier. The solve this, OnePlus 2 which will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset has been improved to overcome the overheating issues with an extra layer of precaution.
Further, to avoid this heating issues, OnePlus has coated a layer of thermal gel and graphite on top of the processors across different areas of the device.
Few days back, The company's CEO Pete Lau took the social network way to reveal that the OnePlus 2 will be priced under $450 or approximately Rs. 28,500.
On the other end, OnePlus CEO Peter Lau posted some images comparing the OnePlus 2's camera capabilities to the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6.
With this series of image, the company is stressing on the optical image stabilization feature, which is employed in the device. This comparison involves the night shots of iPhone 6 and macro close-ups shots of Galaxy S6.
Ahead of OnePlus 2 launch, the company has opened 9 new service centre in India. These new service centres are located in Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai (Andheri and Lamington), New Delhi and Kolkata.
According to the company, all the service related issues on the smartphones, pending more than 15 working days at service centres will automatically get a 3 months extended warranty in India, which is also applicable for the upcoming OnePlus 2.
