Oppo seems to be finally reading to unveil its much rumored camera centric smartphone, called the F1s. A few days after the Oppo F1s came in picture with detailed camera specs leak, the phone is likely to get unveiled in an Oppo event scheduled for August 3.
The Chinese smartphones company has apparently sent out invites for the launch of Oppo F1s in an event on August 3, though we have not yet received the invite at the time of reporting this news.
The Selfie factor:
Going by the previously leaked reports, the Oppo F1s will be a camera centric smartphone which will cater to the selfie enthusiasts. The F1s will be the successor to the previously launched Oppo F1, which sports an 8MP front-facing camera.
The 's' in the name of the F1s could indicate the selfie camera, considering that the phone is likely to come with a 16MP front-facing camera. Also believed is that the company will offer special filters, editing tools and camera features to support the camera on the phone, and let users have better photography experience.
As far as its specs and features are concerned, rumors have it that F1s will essentially be an advanced version of the F1, mainly targeted at selfie focused consumers. The F1s will feature a 16Mp front camera, where as the F1 has an 8MP selfie snapper.
It is expected to also have a fingerprint sensor integrated with the home button, which was a feature not found on the Oppo F1 smartphone. The fingerprint scanner on the F1s is believed to be able to unlock the phone in just .22 seconds.
