Looking at the smartphone, you will know at once that Oppo's new handset is aimed towards the more fashionable smartphone purchasers, rather than the hackers and modders of the mobile world. All thanks to its diamond-like mirrored back panel designed with individual cut-glass segments consisting of different reflective properties; which the company claimes had been crafted using a sophisticated ultraviolet embossing technique.

The Oppo Mirror 5 is a natural successor of Oppo Mirror 3 and has been announced exactly 6 months after the launch of the predecessor.

Specswise, Mirror 5 might not deliver as beefy specifications as the R7 and R7 Plus, which were announced in May, but the Mirror 5 does feature a rear camera with Oppo's Pure Image 2.0+ algorithm. According to Oppo, Pure Image 2.0+ introduces a variety of camera features, such as auto panorama, double exposure, and "after focus," which will likely let you focus on other subjects after taking a picture.

Mirror 5 will also offer 3G connectivity, dual SIM slots and SD card support of up to 128 GB.

At the same time, the bimetallic diamond smartphone comes with the latest ColorOS 2.1 (based on the latest Android 5.1) and will be available in White and Blue color options within this week across India.

Announcing the launch, Mr. Tom Lu, CEO, Oppo Mobile India said, "Oppo is known globally for meticulous designs and trendsetting flair and our newest offering Mirror 5 is perfect interpretation of our design philosophy which is wisdom and innovation, shining above the ordinary.
