Noida-based handset maker, Ringing Bells has launched the cheapest smartphone in the Indian market as promised. Dubbed as Freedom 251, this device is launched in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for "empowering India to the last person, transforming India's growth story".

This company is already known for its cheapest 4G smartphone, dubbed as Smart 101 at Rs. 2,999. Moving on to the specifications, this device sports a 4-inch qHD IPS display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels.
The Freedom 251 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor under the hood. On the storage front, Freedom 251 is equipped with 8GB of internal storage, with an expandable option of up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Talking about the camera, it has 3.2MP rear camera, VGA or 0.3MP front camera on board. Moreover, it is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Meanwhile, the connectivity options include 3G,WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth, GPS.
