Unannounced Samsung Galaxy A7 successor with Exynos 7580 chipset spotted on AnTuTu
Samsung has been in news not only for its Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 successor but also for the new generation model of the A7 smartphone. It seems like the company is not able to keep the upcoming Galaxy A7 successor a secret, as previous leaks have revealed much about it already. To put more light on the phone, AnTuTu has revealed the hardware specs of the device on Weibo.
Previously leaked information suggested the new Samsung Galaxy A7 to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615. However, AnTuTu claims that the second version of the phone will be based on the Samsung Exynos 7580 chipset.
Samsung Galaxy A3 And Galaxy A5 Successor Imported Into India For Testing
The Samsung Galaxy A7 was launched with Snapdragon 615 or Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5430, depending on the region. It seems like the second-generation model of the phone will retain Snapdragon 615 chipset, while the Exynos version will get upgraded to the Exynos 7580 CPU.
Samsung's native Exynos 7580 CPU has previously been used to power the Samsung Galaxy J7 and the Galaxy S5 Neo smartphones. This chipset uses Samsung's 28nm technology and offers a 1.6GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 processor with a Mali-T720MP2 GPU.
As per AnTuTu, the chipset scored 37,563 points on the new Samsung Galaxy A7, whereas a Snapdragon 615-powered phone in general scores about 32,000 points on AnTuTu benchmarking.
The benchmark site also reveals other specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A7 smartphone, which are consistent with the information we fetched from previous leaks. Speaking broadly, the phone will feature a 5.5-inch FHD display which is expected to be Super AMOLED with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing snapper.
The refreshed Galaxy A7 might not have any major upgrades over the original model, in terms of internal hardware, but it is likely to get a change in design and form factor. The leaked photos suggested the new Galaxy A7 to give away the metal frame design for a glass-metal design, which is taken from the Samsung Galaxy S6. However, nothing can be confirmed about the change in design of the phone, until the company reveals the device. The new Galaxy A7 is expected to be launched sooner than later.
