As expected, Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note 5 along with Galaxy 6 Edge Plus smartphones at its Unpacked event at New York's Lincoln Center. This is the company's next-generation model in its Note series of premium phablets.
The Galaxy Note 5 somewhat looks the same as that of the Galaxy S6. It flaunts a similar glass chassis, though comes with S Pen.

Taking of its specifications, Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5 flaunts a 5.7-inch QHD (2560x1440 pixel) Super AMOLED display, which is the same as the Note 4.
In terms of processor, the Galaxy Note 5 is powered by an Exynos 7420 processor with 4GB of RAM, while the previous gen featured 3GB of RAM. In terms of in-built storage space, the company has launched 32GB and 64GB variants of the phone. However, the is no expandable memory support via microSD card.
On the camera front, it sports 16MP rear shooter with OIS, and a 5MP front-facing camera, compared to the Galaxy Note 4's 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera. Talking of software, the phone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based TouchWiz UI on top.
Other features in the phone include of a 3000 mAh non-removable battery, which is sadly lower than the 3220mAh battery found in its predecessor. Though, we can't comment on its performance on the basis of the battery size.
On the connectivity, S6 Edge+ supports LTE Cat.6, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2 with ANT+, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Samsung Pay via Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST). This device comes with updates fingerprint sensor for secure transactions.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 comes in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and will be available for pre-order starting today.
