A few hours ahead of the launch of Samsung's much awaited Galaxy Note 7, the smartphone has been spotted with its retail box online, which confirms its specs and other details. First the Sprint planogram leaked, followed by several live photos of the device, and now the alleged retail box of the Note7 has revealed the specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The wrapper comes from the Korean version of the handset for SK Telecom. It shows that the Galaxy Note7 has Samsung's octa-core Exynos inside, which is in line with previous reports. The company will be launching another version which will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 820/821 chipset.
One feature that has been confirmed with this leak is that the Note 7 will have variants with 64GB storage and higher, resulting in a higher a price this time! The report also washes away the rumor of 6GB of RAM.
As far as other features are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 will adorn a 5.7 inch screen with QHD resolution. The pack does not mention anything about an edged or curved display, which could mean that the rumor of just one Note7 version with curved edged display turn out to be true. However, the blurry hands on photos confirm the curved display, color-coordinated S Pen top, and, the presence of an USB-C port.
The report also confirms the presence of waterproofing capabilities with IP68 certification, which mean that you can submerge the phone in three feet of water for at least half an hour and it will survive. It also suggests that the Note7 will be available in three color models.
Though most of the specifications and details of the phone have got leaked already, we will be giving you more details about the phone as soon as it gets unveiled officially. Meanwhile, stay connected for tech news and updates!
