The trend of offering premium flagship smartphones in a range of colours started off a year back. Apparently Gold variant had always been the first choice for consumers while buying a premium device. However ever since the launch of the iPhone 6S were are seeing a different trend of a Rose Gold variant.

So, it isn't surprising to see Korean Electronics giant Samsung join the Rose Gold bandwagon by launching a similar colored variant of their flagship Note 5, albeit with a slight different name - Pink Gold.

Alongside the Pink Gold mode, Samsung also launched a Silver Titanium variant in Korea today. However unlike the Pink Gold, Samsung had announced the Titanium color at the international Note 5 launch a month back alongside White Pearl, Black Sapphire and Gold Platinum.

Nevertheless it's worth mentioning that the Pink Gold variant of the Note 5 comes with a slightly darker shade, than the one seen on the iPhone 6S.

According Samsung the Silver Titanium color which gives the Note 5 a robust feel, would cater to the urban and more sophisticated portion of the society, whereas the Pink Gold version will give a charm and elegance to the otherwise no non sense look and feel of the device.

As expected there's isn't any change in the internals of the new models. It sports the same 5.7 QHD (2560x1440) AMOLED display with an Exynos 7420 octa core SoC (2.1 GHz quad + 1.5GHz quad) and a 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

On the back is the 16MP rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and dual LED flash. The front sports a 5MP snapper which can shoot wide angle shoots as well as Full HD (1080p) videos. Further Galaxy Note5 is powered by a 3000mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 2.0.

Samsung has priced the 32GB and 64GB variant of the Silver Titanium coloured Note5 at 899,800 Won (Rs 51,500 approx.) and 965,800 Won (Rs 55,000) respectively.

The Pink Gold on the other hand is only available in the 64GB version at the aforementioned price. Further the Pink Gold will go on sale only from the 23rd of October while the Silver Titanium hits stores from today itself.

Samsung has also launched a range of premium cases for their Note 5 and S6+ to give them an upmarket feel. The Swarovski case for Samsung comes embedded which 1,300 crystals gives a premium look to the flagship device. Additionally Samsung will offer a premium case as a part of its Edelweiss collection for the Note 5.

The latest Montblanc collection on the other hand features a protective leather cover (comes in two variants soft grain and extreme) for the S6 Edge+ and the Note 5. The lineup also includes two flip wallets covers for the device.

Apart from these Samsung has also introduced leather hard shell covers featuring handmade tattoos for the above mentioned two devices.
