Sony recently released a its flagship Xperia Z3+ smartphone and now Sony smartphone with model number E5663 has been spotted on benchmarking website GFXBench and Geekbench.
The unannounced Sony E5663 had been leaked a few times before, but without any details on specs, except the model number. The smartphone was first appeared at the Indonesian Postel Regulatory site back in April.
The benchmarking sites have listed some leaked specification of the Sony E5663. Meanwhile the Xperia Blog has also noted the information of specs and a screenshot of the smartphone in GFXBench site.
The leaked information shows that, smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 chipset housing 1.9GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor and PowerVR G6200 GPU. The processor is backed with 2.5GB of RAM and 11GB of internal storage.
The benchmark suggests that it will sport a 20 megapixel rear camera and a 12 megapixel front-facing camera, which is the highest megapixel megapixel front camera in the Xperia smartphones until now. We have seen upto 5 megapixel front facing camera till date in Xperia smartphones.
The model number E5663 suggest that the device will be announced in India. Many Xperia smartphone with model number starting with letter E were launched in India. For instance the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual and Xperia C4 Dual carrying model numbers E2363 and E5363 respectively were launched in India.
Meanwhile the unannounced, Sony E5663 has recently appeared on Zauba, Indian Import Database site. There were also rumors that Sony might launch some budget smartphone only in India.
