Sony launches a limited edition Xperia J1 Compact in collaboration with game maker Konami
Are you an avid gamer? Then here's something interesting! Did you ever hear of a company launching a new smartphone edition to pay homage to a to-be-launched video game? Bet you don't. Apparently though, it seems like Sony has pulled out a publicity stunt.

The company has launched a limited edition Sony J1 Compact: The Phanton Pain Editon device. The smartphone comes with a custom back cover featuring the Outer Heaven logo - the base of the Big Boss in the MGS universe.

The J1 Compact is bundled with loads of preloaded digital content, tied with the Metal Gear Solid franchise: a $8 voucher to purchase game-related comics, novels, and concept art. Further users can enjoy a custom ringtone, wallpaper and listen to two OST tracks from the upcoming stealth game.
In terms of internal specification though, the Xperia J1 Compact, is totally the same phone that was announced back in March, this year. It sports a 4.3 inch HD (1280x720) display with a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip and a 2GB RAM.
On the storage front is a 16GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot. The optics are handled by a 20.7MP rear camera and a 2.2MP front snapper. Finally, there's a 2300mAh battery which is bit on the lower side but can keep the phone running for a day of moderate usage.

The new edition Xperia J1 Compact will only be available in Japan for a price of 59,800 yen, which is roughly $480/ Rs 30,400 (approx.).
