Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium, Z5 Compact Scheduled for October 21 Launch in India

Japanese handset maker, Sony has sent out media invites for October 21 event, where the company is expected to launch its latest flagship Xperia Z5 devices. The smartphones include Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and world's first 4K device Xperia Z5 Premium.

Initially, the Xperia Z5 series were unveiled in the IFA 2015 event few days back. Coming to the invite, it says, "Block your date" along with Sony and Xperia logo's on top and bottom respectively.

Sony Xperia Z5 - Key Specifications

The Sony Xperia Z5 sports a 5.2 inch 1920x1080 pixels resolution with Triluminos display. The smartphone is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 200GB via microSD card and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

It flaunts a 23 megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3 inch sensor, f/2.0 sensor, G lens, 4K video recording as well as 5 megapixel front-facing camera with Exmor R sensor, 25mm wide-angle lens.

The smartphone features an IPX5 / IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance and fingerprint sensor. It packs a 2900mAh Battery with STAMINA mode and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.

Moving on to the specifications, Xperia Z5 Premium comes with a 5.5-inch display with 4K TRILUMINOUS technology with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels which is translated into 806 ppi.

Also, this device comes packed with X-Reality engine which is used to enhance the display quality. It is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with Adreno 430 GPU besides 3GB of RAM under the hood.

Xperia Z5 Premium features a large 32GB internal memory, with the capability to take a 200GB external microSD card, which offers extra room for 4K videos and movies, and images too.

On the camera part, the Xperia Z5 comes with 23MP rear camera, which can focus the subject in just 0.03 seconds, which according to the company, is faster than the blink of a human eye, while the front side is equipped with 5MP shooter on board.

In terms of the software, this device is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. This device is powered by a humongous 3430mAh battery along with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology on the device.

The Xperia Z5 Compact has a 4.6 inch Full HD (1920x1080) powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, featuring octa-core CPUs, 64-bit capabilities and ultra-fast 4G LTE speeds.

Additionally the device is Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 enabled thereby letting users get 5.5 hours usage with just 10 minutes of charging with a certified Quick Charge 2.0 charger.
