Swipe Junior with Improved Parental Controls and Geo-Tracking features launched at Rs 5,999
Swipe has added yet another smartphone to its device lineup. However the new smartphone is mainly targeted at the young Indian users aged between 5-15years. Dubbed the Swipe Junior the smartphone come with a number of features which allows the parents to keep an eye on their kids activities without overly compromising their freedom.
Furthermore Swipe claims that their Junior smartphone will help foster creativity and make learning fun among the kids. As expected the Swipe Junior smartphone isn't quite a powerful smartphone. In fact it boasts modest specs including a 4.5" IPS display, 1.3GHz dual core SoC, 512MB of RAM and 4GB on internal storage. There's also a 2MP rear camera complimented by a 0.3MP unit on the front.

The Swipe Junior smartphone comes with the normal slew of connectivity options including a WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS alongside a 1900mAh Li-Poly battery.
Nevertheless the USP of the smartphone lies in its deeply rooted parental control features that enables users to keep an eye on their kids smartphone usage. The parents can remotely check the contact list, control/limit the time spent on internet, playing games or using any other apps.
Additionally parents can monitor their kids whereabouts/location using the smartphone's GPS. They can also set safe and danger zones for their kids. There is also an One Click SoS feature that allow the kid to send an instant alert to their parents if they land up in some trouble. However these features will be available only for one year post which user would need to pay for subsequent subscriptions.

Swipe Junior is made up of a shock proof food grade materials to prevent it from accidental falls. The device is priced at Rs 5,999 and will be available via major e-commerce platforms.
