Chinese smartphone maker, Umi, has entered the Indian smartphone market with its new smartphone called Umi Hammer. The handset is listed in the online retailer, Flipkart, for Rs. 10,999.

However, there is no official announcement from the company about the launch of Umi Hammer in India. Umi is popularly known as the Xiaomi's Chinese competitor.

The smartphone is built with aviation alloy frame and measure a thickness at 4.3mm. Flipkart has listed the device as "strongest phone ever built" and supports 4G LTE.

The Umi Hammer sports a 5 inch HD IPS display at 720x1280 pixels resolution and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with MediaTek MT6732 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and Mail-T760 GPU. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and can be upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The smartphone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, that can be expandable using microSD card up to 64GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 3.2 front-facing camera.

For connectivity, it comes with 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and dual-SIM support. It packs a 2250mAh battery and is available in black and white color options.
