Apart from working on new generation wearables, Motorola seems to be also prepping a higher-end device codenamed Bounce. As per rumored report, the new smartphone is a smaller version of the Motorola Moto X Style, and is expected to be launched sometime towards the end of this year.
According to leakster @Upleaks, the key feature of the Motorola Bounce will be its shatterproof design. It seems like the phone will don tough chassis to prevent any damages that could be caused due to shocks, when the phone hits against a hard surface.
The leakster has shared some specifications-related information about the smartphone, which suggests that the Motorola Bounce will feature a 5.43-inch QHD display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution, which is slightly smaller than the 5.7-inch QHD display on the Moto X Style.
Speaking of chipset, the Bounce will be more powerful than the Moto X Style, and will run on a Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset paired with 3GB of RAM, instead of the SD808 hexa-core chipset on the Moto X Style. In terms of storage space, the company is working on two variants - a 32GB and a 64GB - of the upcoming smartphone.
For the camera enthusiasts, like the Moto X Style, the Bounce will also sport a 21-megapixel rear camera paired with 5-megapixel selfie camera. Other feature in the phone include of a 3,760mAh battery.
As for software, considering that the phone is scheduled for end of the year, we expect it to run Android's 6.0 Marshmallow version out-of-the-box. Though, there is no confirmation about the same!
Though the rumored Bounce smartphone is expected to come sometime later this year, Motorola might make some announcements about it at the IFA 2015, in Berlin, Germany.
