An unannounced Sony smartphone, reportedly codenamed F8331, has passed through benchmarking website GFXBench. The spotting has disclosed some key specifications and features of the yet to be announced Sony smartphone.
If we go by the leaked specs, the mystery device seems to be a high end phone from Sony's kitty, and could be the company's flagship device for this year, though nothing is confirmed as of now. Moreover, considering that Sony has not launched its new flagship for this year, there is a possibility of this phone being its flagship smartphone for this year.

Full HD display:
The listing on benchmarking site has also revealed that the new Sony smartphone will feature a Full HD display with 1080p resolution.
Snapdragon 820 chipset on board:
Speaking of the specifications and features, the upcoming Sony smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM. As far as its inbuilt storage space is concerned, there could be a 32GB of internal storage with microSD card support.
12MP front-facing camera:
It is believed that this Sony phone will flaunt a 21MP rear camera, similar to those of the last few generation Xperia Z smartphones. The interesting part is that the phone is expected to have a 12MP front-facing snapper for selfie enthusiasts.
The smartphone will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, topped with Sony's native UI. That's all that is known about the phone as of now. However, rumors have it that Sony could be launching new smartphones at IFA 2016 scheduled to happen in September.
