Vivo X6 and X6 Plus flagship phones announced: Key Specs and Features

As expected, Chinese smartphone company Vivo has unveiled the Vivo X6 and the Vivo X6Plus flagship range smartphones in China. These are the company's premium smartphones with higher-end specifications including 8MP front-facing snapper, 4GB RAM, and more, which will rival the likes of OnePlus 2, amongst others.

Here's a look at the key specifications of the vivo X6 and Vivo X6Plus smartphones:

The Vivo X6 smartphone features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1080p) resolution. While the X6 Plus is a bigger display phone which flaunts a 5.7-inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display. Both the smartphones are powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor with 700 MHz Mali-T760 MP2 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The primary cameras on the phones come with LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) which is capable of focusing in merely 0.2 seconds.

Both the phones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under the company's native UI.

While most of the specifications of these phones are similar, major differences lie in the internal storage space and battery of these phones. The V6 Plus has higher native storage at 64GB and a bigger 3000mAh battery, where as the Vivo V6 features 32GB of native storage with a smaller 2,400mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity, both the V6 variants support 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.

The Vivo X6 and X6 Plus smartphones are launched in three colour options that include Gold, Silver and Rose Gold colors. In terms of price, the Vivo X6 with China Unicom has been launched for 2498 Yuan (which translates to Rs. 26,030 approximately) while the standard network version costs 2598 Yuan or Rs. 27,074 approx. The Vivo X6 Plus with China Unicon version is launched at 2998 Yuan (Rs. 31,240 approx.) while the standard network version is priced at 3198 Yuan for Rs. 33,320 approximately. These new smartphones are available for order in China, and will go on sale from December 7. There is no information on their launch in India.
