This American Company just sued Xiaomi over patent infringement!
Xiaomi which has surprisingly long stayed away from being sued for patent infringement is now being sued by an American law firm named Blue Spike LLC.

Bluespike has filed patent lawsuits against Xiaomi. Blue Spike states that Xiaomi violates patents in the Mi 4, Mi 4 LTE, Mi 4c, Mi 4i, Mi 5, Mi 5 Plus, Mi Note Plus, Mi Note Pro, Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 2 Pro, Redmi 2A and Redmi Note 2.
This includes new devices that Xiaomi will announce including Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus. So the list is long.
Blue Spike has had a history of filing patent lawsuits against some very large technology companies. This includes companies like Facebook, Adobe, Google, Yahoo and others. Blue Spike LLC has also filed patent infringement against companies based in other countries as well.

It definitely shows that Xiaomi is under challenge from Blue Spike. If Blue Spike lawsuit turns out true, Xiaomi might have to cough up a lot of money for infringing patents on its devices.
