Xiaomi Mi 4c vs LG G4: Top 5 Features That Makes Mi 4C Worth Buying

Xiaomi recently launched the upgraded version of the Mi4i in China dubbed the Mi4c. Unlike the Mi4i which was more of a mid ranger with a Snapdragon 615 under the hood, the Mi4c comes with flagship level specs. In fact it shares the same SoC as the LG G4, despite coming at one third the price.

The Chinese OEM has also included an awesome tweak to the software in the of m of the Edge Tap. Add to that the presence of a IR Blaster and 3GB of RAM.

Hence, you may already be wondering whether the Mi4c is a better option than the LG G4. Yes, it is a decent replacement for the LG G4. In fact you can refer to the Xiaomi Mi4c as the poor man's LG G4. But doesn't the 1299 Yuan (Rs 12,999 approx.) come with any extra features?

Edge Tap makes navigation easier

The Mi4c may not come with a flashy dual edged displays, but Xiaomi has included a great software tweak to imitate a few of the features. On can navigate across the menus by tapping on the Edge of the display. For example click a Selfie by a single tap on the screen and go back a menu with a double tap.

Latest gen USB Type C port

Xiaomi never misses out to include latest gen technologies into their smartphone and the Mi4c is no exception. The company has included the latest USB Type port onto the bottom of the device. Additionally they have used a USB 3.0 standard Type C port in comparison to the USB 2.0 used in OP2.

5MP Wide Angle Selfie Camera

The Xiaomi President Lin Bin appears quite proud regarding the front facing camera of the Xiami Mi4c. In fact he also teased a image of the front facing camera where the Mi4c was seen being compared with the iPhone 6. The 5MP camera on the front can fit in about 7-8 individuals in a single shot.

Sunlight Display makes outdoor reading hassle free

The Xiaomi Mi4c comes with a new dispaly technology dubbed the Sunlight Display. This makes reading in direct sunlight much easier than before. The light sensor at the top of the display respond to surrounding light and modify the brightness of the panel accordingly.

Funky colours to suit your taste

Xiaomi's target audience with the Mi4c is quite clear with the color options available for the Mi4c. Unlike the G4 which comes with Silver, Gold and Leather stitched back panels, the Mi4c comes in a set of funky colors namely light blue, yellow, pink, white and black.
