Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and Note 2 Prime Launched: Key Specifications and Features
The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi, has unveiled the Redmi Note 2 smartphone at its MIUI 7 event today. The Note 2 comes in two variant including TDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA 16GB variant and TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE variant with 16GB.

Also, the company has launched the Redmi Note 2 Prime, which is powered by a 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 Octa-Core 64-bit processor alongwith 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal memory on board.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 - Key Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 178-degree wide viewing angle.
The Redmi Note 2 is powered by 2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU, while the Redmi Note 2 Prime is clocked at 2.2GHz as mentioned above, which is the only difference. Both the device is equipped with 2GB RAM under the hood.
Moving on to the camera front, this device has 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, Samsung / OmniVision Sensor, 5p lens, f/2.2 aperture, 78-degree wide-angle lens, 1080p video recording, 5MP front-facing camera, OmniVision sensor, 1.4-micron pixel, 720p video recording.
Further, this device comes with the storage option f 16GB/32GB built-in memory. In terms of software, the device is shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop on top of MIUI 7 out of the box.
On the connectivity options, this device supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n ( 2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS and powered by 3060mAh battery on board.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 comes in five different colors including Dark Grey, White, Blue, Bright Yellow and Pink colors. The Redmi Note 2 TDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA 16GB variant carries a price of 799 yuan (approx Rs. 8,134), while the TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE variant comes at 899 yuan (approx Rs. 9,152).
On the other side, the Redmi Note 2 Prime will be available at 999 yuan (approx Rs. 10,170) and will go on sale starting from Aug 16.
