Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G Indian users getting MIUI 6 Update: Did you get it?

Chinese handset maker, Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 6 update for the Redmi Note 3G smartphone. Few days back, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S got the MIUI 6 update.

The MIUI 6 brings a new notification center with music control panels, notifications for new messages, missed calls, reminders, app notices, and more. It also has smart blocklist and visual menu for voice service calls. It is based on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat.

Going through the specs, the Redmi Note Phablet sports a 5.5-inch IPS display of HD (720p) quality. The device has 2GB of RAM coupled with 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor.

It has 8GB of onboard storage and a micro-SD card slot that supports another 32GB. The device runs on Android 4.2 that has been optimized with MIUI version 5.

Apart from that, the device sports a primary 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, alongside a 5-megapixel snapper at the front of it. The phone is juiced via a massive 3200mAh battery.
