Micromax's sub-brand Yu today launched the Yureka Plus, which essentially is an improved variant of the previously launched Yureka smartphone. Last week, the company hinted that it would be unveiling a sturdy product today. The Yu Yureka has been priced at Rs 9,999, and will be available on Amazon India, in a flash sale model on July 24. The registration for the same begins today.
As for its features and specs, the Yu Yureka Plus flaunts a higher-resolution display than its predecessor. So, you get 1080x1920 pixels resolution on the 5.5-inch display of the Yureka Plus, than the 720x1280pixels resolution on the Yureka. The display gets Gorilla Glass 3 protection. In addition to that, Yu launched the Yureka Plus with updated software which fixes bugs and camera-related issues that were faced with the Yureka.
Besides display, rest of the features and specs remain almost similar. So you get a similar octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, and 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It sports a 13-megapixel autofocus camera, coupled with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, it runs on Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android Lollipop. Other features in the phone include of a 2,500mAh battery, dual-SIM card slots, and 4G LTE support.
The Yureka Plus is available in White and Moondust colour variants, and will go on its first sale on July 24, at 12 noon.
