Shenzhen-based handset company ZTE has unveiled a limited-edition variant of its popular mid-range smartphone Axon 7 in the US market. Named Axon 7 Premium, the new handset brings improvement in display, RAM, and storage department.
The smartphone is priced at $499.98, which roughly accounts to Rs. 34,100. The Standard variant of the handset that was launched in China in May costs approximately Rs. 27,300.

5.5-inch QHD AMOLED Display with Force Touch Technology
The limited-edition variant of Axon 7 adds Force Touch feature to the 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED screen. The force touch technology will take pressure sensitive inputs matching the likes of Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 7. ZTE has added some new interface elements to embed the force touch technology into the smartphone's display to enhance the user experience.
Besides, the display is protected by 2.5D curved Glass.
Extra 2GB of RAM and double the internal storage
ZTE Axon 7 Premium improves on RAM and doubles the internal storage. While the base variant of ZTE Axon 7 ships with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, the limited edition premium variant offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Besides, the device storage can be expanded via microSD card slot up to 128GB.
High-end CPU and good on Audio
There's no change in the processor and GPU unit. The Axon 7 comes powered by Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 503 as GPU.
The smartphone has dual stereo speakers and two dedicated audio chips from AKM and Dolby Atmos surround for better quality sounds.
Battery and Connectivity
ZTE Axon 7 Premium is backed by a 3,250mAh battery unit that also support Quick Charge 3.0.
As far as connectivity goes, the smartphone includes USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), and 4G LTE.
The smartphone also has a fingerprint at the back.
