Nexus 5: LG and Google to Team Up Again?
I was gifted an iPhone 5 on my last birthday, but exchanged it with the Nexus 4. That was Rishab Khurana, a budding photographer based out of New Delhi. LG made Nexus 4 is still not out in the Indian market.
The Nexus 4 was made in collaboration with Google - LG announced last year. The device costs way less than the iPhone 5. Thus it became instant hit with masses, and critics too. Since the beginning of the year, it was said that LG is said to be working on the sequel to hit Nexus 4.
GizBot has shared the alleged specifications of the Nexus 5 with you .Well, nothing is confirm at the moment, but new reports say that LG is the chosen one to make Nexus 5, a successor to the Nexus 4.
The Korean Times reports that Google co-founder Larry Page paid a visit to South Korea recently. Mr. Page met LG's Koo Bon-joon, and also interacted with Samsung's vice chairman - Lee Jay-yong during his visit to South Korea.

A source says that Larry Page met LG's Koo Bon-joon to strengthen business partnerships. The software giant is believed to be impressed with the Nexus 4, and would like to see LG making its sequel soon. "Larry Page invited Koo for a meeting while he stayed in Seoul last week. They discussed ways to improve their business partnership. The meeting lasted for more than an hour", as per the source close to The Korean Times.
Both Samsung and LG share different corporate philosophies. LG made a late entry in the glitzy world of smartphones while Samsung took advantage, and quickly became world's largest smartphone vendor. Now LG is working aggressively, and the results are in front of us - LG Optimus G, Optimus G Pro, and the very dashing Nexus 4.
LG also reported better than expected quarter results - thanks to the strong sales of Nexus 4. It is also being said that Google could collaborate with LG on an OLED TV project. The South Korean tech giant has started working on LG Glass, and other futuristic devices.
Google is set to hold Google I/O next month. The latest buzz says that a 4G LTE version of Nexus 4 is on the way. It will be powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. While the sequel to Nexus 4, is still far away, and would carry an 8-core processor, Full HD display, and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. Stay tuned to GizBot.
