Nokia 105 Released in India For Rs 1249

The Finnish handset manufacturer, Nokia introduced their cheapest colorful phone Nokia 105 at Mobile World Congress 2013 which took place in February 2013. Now after two months, the company has released the handset for sale at Rs 1,249 in India.The handset was already launched a week back.

Specwise, Nokia 105 features a 1.45 inch LCD display, 8MB mass memory, a flashlight, FM Radio and an 800 mAh Li-ion battery with 35 days standby and 12.5 hours talk time. However, Nokia 105 lacks a camera and other connectivity features, however, the phone comes with productivity features including Digital clock, Calculator, Flashlight, Clock, Calendar, Phonebook, Converter, Speaking clock, Expense manager, Alarm clock and will support a few native games.

The feature phone is pretty fresh looking, considering it's price range. It best suites, first time mobile users and people, who are looking for an alternative or a backup phone. With a standby time of up to 35 days, Nokia 105 is a handy phone, when you are on a vocation.

T S Sridhar, Regional General Manager (South), Nokia India said " The very human and fresh design of Nokia 105 makes it distinct in this price range, and utterly modern despite a traditional form factor. Our most affordable device with some of the best category features, is the ideal handset for first time buyers to enjoy the benefits and experiences of mobility".

According to Viral Oza, Director of Marketing, Nokia India, the company will no longer deal with black and white screen handsets, once the Nokia 105 is released. Further, Nokia 301, the dual SIM and upgraded version of Nokia 105 is also pegged to release soon in India.
