Nokia 301 With Added 3.5G Internet Speed Launched at Rs 5,349: 5 Cheap 3G Phones to Face the Heat
Nokia has been making a lot of device at the lower midrange segment. The Indian mobile phone market has already witnessed two different smartphones from the Finnish giant so far including Nokia Asha 501 and Asha 210.
However, it looks like Nokia is craving for more, as now the company has come up with one more basic budget handset Nokia 301 with 3.5G internet speed for faster internet experience.
Going by the form factor, Nokia 301 features a classic ‘candybar' design and comes with a display size of 2.4-inch TFT screen offering resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 167 ppi pixel density.
Further, the mobile sports a 3.2MP smart camera that includes features like image capture, editing and sharing options, including Panorama, Sequential shots, Self-portrait and there's a 5-in-1 camera app that lets users choose and apply one of five camera effects to an image.
Further, the photo sharing option in Nokia 301 will directly let user pick image from the gallery and share to social networks. Also, users can share photos and other content using Slam, which comes built into the Nokia 301. Not only that, but with the latest Nokia 301 the users can now stream movies for free on 3.5G network with UTV movies app.
The Nokia 301 is available in Easy Swap Dual SIM model. Nokia's EasySwap Dual SIM allows people to switch SIM cards without turning off the phone. Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS, EDGE, WLAN, Bluetooth and USB. The device also enables users to access popular apps like Facebook, Twitter and eBuddy directly from the homescreen.
Moreover, Nokia 301 is powered by Li-Ion 1110 mAh battery that offers over 20 hours of talk time and nearly 34 day's standby. Available in cyan, yellow, magenta, black and white, the Nokia 301 is priced at Rs. 5,349.
Nokia is definitely targeting the lower mid range segment of the mobile phone market and is venturing into the budget friendly mobile phone category as well. However, considering the competition in the market, specially the growing craze for Android device loaded with 3G support, Nokia 301 is bound to give some serious competition to other budget devices like Samsung Galaxy Music Duos, Samsung Galaxy Star, Spice Stellar Jazz Mi-353, Micromax Smarty 3.0 A30, Karbonn A1+, Huawei Ascend Y210D and Lenovo A60+. Perhaps Nokia 301 has 3.5G feature to its advantage.
Here below in the slides, GizBot has cared to highlight the specs of the top five rivals of the Nokia 301. All the devices are supported by dual SIM and 3G network.
