Nokia 500 Symbian Anna OS Phone Announced
Nokia has been in the spotlight recently with the announcement of the Symbian Anna OS that will find its way into Nokia's Symbian powered phones in the future and today we take a look at one phone that has just been announced by Nokia to be carrying the Symbian Anna OS. The model is christened Nokia 500. It is expected to be a big hit in developing markets especially in India. The reason it is believed so is because the phone is priced very aggressively and it offers Smartphone like features and specs.

Nokia 500 comes with a 3.2 inch full touch screen based interface that is capacitive in nature and the screen resolution is very good for providing a good visual experience to its users.

Nokia 500 will be running the latest Symbian Anna OS and will be coupled to a powerful 1 GHz ARM processor that will ensure that the phone delivers excellent performance.

On the camera front this new Nokia mobile does not fail to impress as it is loaded with a 5 Mega Pixel rear camera that offers superb clarity images. The video recording capabilities of the phone are not yet revealed but we expect it to provide high definition video recording as well.

This new Nokia mobile phone has a fairly good internal memory and offers a 2GB micro SD card for free with the phone initially. The phone supports up to 32 GB of external memory and this is more than enough for all your favorite songs and videos.

On the multimedia side Nokia 500 offers playback of multimedia content in a wide variety of media formats. It also packs in an FM radio and a 3.5 mm universal audio jack.

On the communication and network terminologies the phone has Bluetooth and USB PC connectivity and also packs in internet technologies like GPRS and EDGE on 2G networks and high speed 3G internet access. The phone also comes with Wireless internet connectivity or Wi-Fi.

The phone was initially launched in European markets for around 150 Euros and if the same pricing strategy is adopted in India Nokia 500 will be available for around Rs 11000 which makes it highly affordable. There is no official word from Nokia regarding the exact launch date and price of the mobile but we expect the Finnish Giant to make an announcement anytime soon.
