Nokia Chat Beta Messaging App Released Exclusively for Windows Phone 8 Based Lumia Smartphones

Nokia Chat messenger app which was first made available for Symbian and Series 40 devices has arrived to Windows Phone 8. The Beta version of the app is exclusively out for Lumia handsets. The messenger app has been given a new spin, as it now enables you to connect with Nokia Chat friends who use Lumia, Asha, S40, and Symbian devices and those using Yahoo! Messenger on other mobile devices and platforms

The messenger offers Push Notifications and Live Tile Updates, which means you can new message notifications, preview new messages, and see how many notifications you've received, even when the app is not running.

Key Features

You can share information on places such restaurant, store and others with other Lumia users. They will be able to see directions and reviews of the place on HERE Maps app.

The app allows you broadcast your location to your friends and family. Also, the app can scan your phone's address book and quickly find friends and family who already use Nokia Chat and Yahoo! Messenger.

Compose a message by pressing speak, and what you say will be translated into text.

Start Nokia Chat by long-pressing the Windows key and saying "Chat with" and the name of an existing contact.
