New Nokia Dual Sim Phones – C2-00 & X1-01
Dual Sim phones in India are offered by various phone makers like Micromax, Videocon, etc to name a few. Even though these brands make fairly reliable handsets most of them come with the Made in China tag and what has been haunting Indian customers off late is the quality of the Chinese made phones.
So the Indian buyer has long been waiting for such phones from trusted brands like Nokia and Sony Ericsson.
Well the wait was finally over when Nokia launched the C series of dual sim phones but they didn"t provide Dual sim standby i.e. they supported 2 sim cards but only one can be used at a time. Users had to switch between sim cards. So a complete solution was yet to be provided by Nokia.
But the soon to be launched Nokia C2-00 and the Nokia X1-01 solves these problems. Now let"s take a look at their reviews.
The Nokia C2-00 powered by a Symbian 40 Series OS is an elegant phone that offers a two mega Pixel camera, radio recording and a Nokia Trademark-Easy Swap. It offers a unique way to use multiple sim cards without having to switch off your mobile to change sim cards.
Thus people who use more than two sim cards will find this phone to be very handy. Other prominent features include a large battery backup of over 5 hours talk time, music playback and an external memory card that supports upto 32 GB. The USP of the phone is however going to be its price tag i.e. Rs 2550/- making it one of the cheapest Symbian phones available.
The Nokia X1-01 is a Symbian 30 series powered phone that is aimed straight at the music enthusiast as it is evident from the presence of the large Speakers at the back. It boasts of the finest and loudest speakers made by Nokia and as many say can be considered as a mini Home Theatre System. Other prominent features are a 32 GB expandable memory card support, dedicated music keys with one touch playlist creation and a good battery standby time of up to 43 days and 13 hours of talk time. This phone is also aggressively priced at around Rs 2500 and is expected to be a competition for Nokia"s own C2-00.
So Nokia has finally decided to join the battle for conquering the Dual Sim Phone market and such good models at astonishing prices are the perfect choice to strengthen its foothold in the Indian market.
