Rumors revolving around the launch of Nokia's most awaited large phablet, Lumia 1520 has been creating a lot of confusion in the tech world and new images of the device have also been spotted online at the same time. But these images don't show up anything that we haven't already seen before.
According to several sources, Bandit launch was pushed back. Could be 10/22.— @evleaks (@evleaks) September 14, 2013
To talk about the announcement of the device, it was earlier said to happen sometime within this month, more precisely on 26th September. On the other hand, the most trusted tipster, @evleaks, has posted a recent tweet that reads, "According to several sources, Bandit launch was pushed back. Could be 10/22.". Confusion has thus arisen from this post. Is @evleaks talking about release date or announcement date? No one knows. However, if he is talking about the launch date, it could be possible. But if he means that the device is getting announced in October 22, that will bring about another confusion. So most of the reports, choose to interpret the tweet as the date of announcement not release. Even if the launch is taking place in October, it is still possible to believe the announcement of the device to happen in September itself. However, the device could possibly be available from November.
Apart from the launch date and announcement date confusion, Just a day ago the tech world also got to see the back panel of the same handset (most probably). However, todays leaked images shows the front panel of the device with the regular Lumia Series UI and Windows Phone OS running on it. The image doesn't reveal anything like specs or features but the front panel.
However, drawing specs from the earlier leaks and rumors, Lumia 1520 is said to come with 6 inch 1080P display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. One will also find a 20-megapixel camera along with a 32GB of storage (expandable up to 64GB) and a large 3,400mAh battery in the phone.
