Nokia Lumia 1520: Top 6 Features Expected In The 6 Inch Phablet To Debut on October 22

From New York to New Delhi, fans across the world are anxiously waiting to get their hands on the forthcoming Nokia phablet, dubbed as Lumia 1520. The buzz is positive around the Lumia 1520, the rumored phablet device said to boast a 6-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB RAM and a 20-MP PureView camera.

Nokia hasn't announced the purpose of holding "Nokia World" event taking place on October 22 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

However, reports have confirmed that Nokia is planning to announce as many as six devices including Lumia 1520 (Bandit), Lumia 2520 (Sirius), Asha 503, Asha 502, Asha 500 and a low-end music centric phone on the same day.
Recently, the Windows phone Nokia Lumia 1520 was also spotted at the FCC( via Windows phone daily). There will be two versions: RM-937 and RM-938. Most likely the Lumia 1520 will support 4G LTE connectivity.

The Lumia 1520 is said to flaunt a mesmerizing 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. For the first time, Nokia will introduce a phone with gigantic display. From watching a full length video to playing notorious games, this one device would be enough for all your multimedia needs.

Design

Well, the exact design of Lumia 1520 is still unknown. But true to its roots, Nokia will undoubtedly assemble its 6-inch phablet in a polycarbonate shell. Nokia is known for delivering fantastic build quality, and one should expect candy colors: Cyan, Yellow, Blue, Black, Red and White.

Processor

The buzz on the street is that the Nokia Lumia 1520 to have a quad -core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC. We're unaware about the clock speed still expect ultra fast speed, enough to do multi tasking without any hiccups.

Camera

We recently had a chance to test Lumia 1020 for a brief period of time. With Nokia Lumia 1520, the tech vendor is said to fuse a 20-mega pixel PureView camera at the back. It is said to capture a 5MP and 16MP images simultaneously. In terms of Camera, Nokia Lumia 1020 will be facing tough competition coming from Sony Xperia Z1, a flagship device having a 20.7MP rear facing camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update

The upcoming Windows Phone 8 update, also known as General Distribution Release 3 (GDR3), will support quad-core processors, Full HD 1080p displays, and in terms of UI-expect a third column of medium sized live tiles on devices with larger screens.

Battery and Storage

Reportedly, Nokia Lumia 1520 is expected to have a 3,400mAh Li Ion battery. Moreover, the phone will have 32GB of inbuilt storage with an option to expand memory up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.
