Windows Phone 8 operating system might soon get some leverage from the upcoming Nokia handsets. The Finnish tech giant unveiled Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 on Monday at the MWC 2013. There is more news about the new up-comers, as UK based retailer, Clove, says that the two colorful smartphones will be launched on April 1.
Speaking of specs, Lumia 520 which runs on Windows Phone 8 operating system and feature a 4 inch mulit-touch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 1GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8227 Snapdragon S4 processor, 5MP rear camera 8GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0,micro USB 2.0 and a 1,430 mAh battery. The smartphone is said to be priced at 140 euros (Rs. 9,916 approximately)
At the same time, Lumia 720 which also runs on Windows Phone 8 houses a slightly larger 4.3 inch multi-touch ClearBlack capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8227 Snapdragon S4 processor, 6.7MP rear camera equipped with Carl Zeiss optics & 1.3MP front camera, 8GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0,micro USB 2.0 and a 2,000 mAh battery. The smartphone is said to be priced at 250 euro (Rs. 17,707 approximately)
The Lumia series from Nokia has been getting it's fare share of spotlight. With Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 being targeted as low-budget smartphones, this could mean some serious competition to other mobile manufactures out there.
