Mobile World Congress is all set to kick start in a few days and rumors about the handsets that will be unveiled at the tech show are in full swing. One of the companies that is expected to present its devices at the event is Nokia and the company seems to be getting ready for it.
According to a My Nokia Blog report, a mystery Lumia smartphone has emerged ahead of the MWC 2013 event. The handset has been spotted in an ad designed to showcase the Lumia 920 on Dutch carrier KPN. The announced yellow colored Lumia appears to be a hybrid of Lumia 822 and Lumia 620.
Moreover, as the advertisement comes a week after the mystery Nokia Lumia design was revealed in a patent, which shows a phone with an angled back similar to the concept designs that the company has worked on.
Going by the past records of Nokia, the Finnish giant surprised the consumers with the launch of low priced Lumia 620 in December 2012 and maybe the company is planning to introduce another budget Windows Phone 8 offering.
It could also be either one of the two new Nokia handsets referred to as Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 that were recently found in an Indonesian regulatory filing. There is also a chance that this is just some dummy unit used by KPN for thei ad, but it seems strange that the operator would do that rather than just use the actual Lumia 920 like it does later in the clip.
Anyways, Nokia has sent out media invites for a February 25 event and it is speculated that the company might unveil the rumored Catwalk and EOS - both are Windows Phone 8 handsets. While Catwalk is speculated to be a Lumia 920 replacement, EOS is believed to be the real PureView Lumia Windows Phone 8 handset.
Whatever it is, the good news for Nokia fans is that the company does have a new smartphone or two up its sleeve and Mobile World Congress would be a good time to show it, which may not be too long for this mysterious knot to unfold.
