Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to launch of a new variant of Lumia 920 smartphone - Lumia 928 in US via leading telecom operator Verizon. A couple of days ago, few image leaks and few evidences of the smartphone's existence have emerged online.
However, the latest on the upcoming flagship has been tipped from the trusted source @evleaks -- who has leaked a new image of Lumia 928 showing the device all dressed up in White. Likewise the earlier leaked Black variant, the White colored handset also has the dual flash arrangement and Xenon flash, but unfortunately, the front panel of the Lumia 928 remains unseen.
While no specific release date has been provided for this smartphone, it might not be too long before all the necessary details are made official, as Nokia and Verizon are expected to announce it before the end of this month.
Rumor has it that the Lumia 928 will hit the market with Windows Phone 8 and roughly the same hardware specs as the Lumia 920. The handset is rumored to feature a 4.5-inch OLED display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor from Qualcomm and 1GB of RAM, as well as 32GB of internal memory, previous reports suggested.
Moreover, Lumia 928 is expected to prove slimmer than the already available handset, although not by much. It would measure 10.2mm in thickness, while the Lumia 920 is 10.7mm thin. It is also expected to deliver support for Verizon's 4G LTE network and to sport xenon flash next to its 8.7 MP rear camera.
While specific details on the smartphone have yet to be officially confirmed, the one thing that is certain is the fact that the handset exists, and that it will hit the market in more color flavors, just as other devices in Nokia's Lumia lineup did.
