New Nokia Lumia 930 Goes Official at Build 2014

Like most established handset manufacturers, Nokia is also upbeat about its latest flagship device, the Lumia 930.

"The Nokia Lumia 930 beautifully blends the best of Microsoft and Lumia with a collection of features readymade for the needs of today's forward-thinking smartphone owner".

You may call the Nokia Lumia 930 as a true successor to the original Lumia 920 but in reality it's the same phone which was announced earlier this year on Verizon wireless in the US ( remember Nokia Lumia Icon ?).

The phone, Nokia Lumia 930, is a true premium phone with signature Nokia styling. It has a 5-inch Full HD True Black ClearBlack display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.2Ghz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC , backed by 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory and 7GB of Microsoft's OneDrive Cloud storage. Unfortunately, the handset lacks a microSD card slot.

The 4G LTE capable phone also packs a 20-megapixel PureView with built-in OIS feature and a secondary 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. Additionally, the makers have added a 2,420mAh battery fitted inside. There are also four microphones built into device for superb sound experience. The Lumia 930 measures 137 x 71 x 9.8mm and weighs 167 grams.

Let's not forget that the new Nokia Lumia 930 runs Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. The new update brings a pull-down Action center, improved Wi-Fi features, enhances Calendar features and more. Moreover, the Windows Phone keyboard gets a major update. Microsoft has also shown off the Cortana digital assistant for Windows Phone 8.1, a rival to Apple's Siri. According to Microsoft, the Windows Phone 8.1 update will be rolled out in the "next few months".
