Nokia Lumia EOS Tipped For July 9 Launch: Will It Be A Hit Or Another Flop Like 808 PureView?
The Finnish giant had had a trouble with 808 PureView. It grabbed headlines for right reasons-thanks to 41-mega pixel camera ducked inside. The handset is still available in India, and costs Rs. 17,999, in the market.
Recently, Nokia announced that 808 PureView would be the last supported Symbian device. Now it is being said that the company might planning to unveil Windows Phone 8 powered 41MP camera phone on July 9. It is still unconfirmed, as Nokia has yet to communicate on this issue.
From the past many months, it is constantly being said that the Finnish giant has plans to unveil something on the lines of pure PureView technology. According to Mobile Geeks and WMPowerUser, in the coming days it is a possibility to see WP8 powered Nokia EOS.

"And by Nokia's own admission during the Nokia Lumia 925 launch, the Finnish phone maker is going to launch another device this summer which many think would indeed be the EOS," as per Mobile Geeks.
GizBot had earlier informed you that a user at WMPowerUser shared few major details about the forthcoming device. However, it was actually difficult to sense out whether Nokia has plans to use same camera sensor on the upcoming WP8 powered EOS.
"The device is made of polycarbonate, and is about as thick as the Nokia Lumia 920 in the middle, but is highly tapered at both ends, giving the impression of a much slimmer device. The lens housing is round in shape and does not protrude much. The flash is Xenon, and the flash and lens are both smaller than the Nokia 808 Pureview. Next to the flash is a small red LED which may be a focus assist light. The lens also has an automatic cover that opens when the camera app is started.
The number of megapixels were not marked on the prototype, with "XX megapixels" only being written on the lens housing. There is a new camera app called "Nokia Pro Camera"with a completely new interface. There is also manual focus available through the app. The regular photo app is also available. The screen size and resolution is same as 920, and appears to be AMOLED. The speaker holes are at the bottom as the handset. The handset was much lighter than the Nokia Lumia 920".
The Nokia EOS will arrive with 41MP camera sensor, but you can take photographs at a maximum of 34MP. It can even record 1080P Full HD videos with different frame rates. On the specs side, it could arrive with 4.5-inch AMOLED display with 720p HD resolution, WP8, dual core processor, and Nokia Pro Camera, new age camera software designed to jazz EOS.
Now the question pops up, who Nokia going to make 41MP camera sensor better. The company got to know its past mistakes during the days of 808 PureView. The device is said to be made from polycarbonate plastic , and is expected to be even thinner than Lumia 920. Stay tuned to GizBot.
