Nokia N1 Featuring Android 5.0 Lollipop Goes Up for Pre Order

Nokia fans brace yourselves! Yes! The pre-order for the Nokia N1 tablet starts tomorrow, while shipping begins on January 28. Now the not-so-good is that N1 is will be initially available only in China. The Finnish smartphone maker has surprised the entire tech community by launching its first tablet with the help of OEM Foxconn. Foxconn will take care of manufacturing, distributing and selling N1 tablet in the market.

Moreover, this device comes with Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box with the Nokia Z launcher. The Nokia N1 tablet was announced back in November last year, which shares similar look as Apple iPad Air.

Nokia N1 Tablet - Key Specifications

The Nokia N1 tablet sports a 7.9-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2048x1536 pixel along with LED backlight. The tablet's fully-laminated zero air-gap display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is also powered by a 2.3GHz Intel Z3580 64-bit Atom processor and 2GB RAM.

The tablet comes with 32GB internal storage and can be expanded via microSD card slot. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nokia Z Launcher running on top. The Nokia N1 tablet features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-focus camera. It supports 1080p (full-HD) video recording.

The tablet also comes with a 3.5mm headset jack, Micro-USB 2.0 Type-C reversible connector, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options. The tablet has a 5300mAh battery. It also offers advanced audio capabilities including stereo speakers and High Quality Discrete Audio Codec, Wolfson WM8958E chip and independent audio codec.
Priced at 1599 yuan(approx Rs. 16,304) Nokia N1 will be available for pre-order from tonight midnight (CST) on n1.zol.com.
