Nokia To Announce 6 Devices in Its October 22 Event: What all to Expect?

Nokia is all set for its event in Abu Dhabi on October 22nd this year. Although, the start time of the event is yet to be confirmed, it comes with the name of "Innovation Reinvented" that was mentioned in the teaser that surfaced online yesterday. The latest update comes from the source familiar to The Verge, who said that the company would launch at least 6 new devices in its upcoming October event. But there is a no official confirmation to the news as of now.

However, two out of these six new devices can be easily said to be Nokia Lumia 1520 which is a 6-inch phablet which has been leaked several times in a past months. The device is also believed to be the first Windows Phone device to come with the new GDR3 update pre-installed. The other one is the highly awaited Lumia 2520 (Codename: Sirius) which is a Windows RT running tablet.

Unfortunately there is no information regarding the remaining 4 devices. But since the dual SIM variant of Asha 501 which is called Asha 500 has already been leaked online by @evleaks, one can guess the device to fall in the same lot, that is getting unveiled in October.

Moreover, multiple reports suggest that the Finnish company is also fully prepped to unveil a bunch of accessories. One of them, according to the TheVerge, is going to be "pretty special."

Nokia Lumia 1520

Nokia Lumia 1520 is said have a 6-inch FHD display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16G of ROM (expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card). There is chance to see a 20MP PureView rear facing camera fitted. The Lumia 1520 will have a 3,400mAh non-removable Li Ion battery. The device will be powered by Windows Phone 8 OS.

Nokia Lumia 2520

Nokia Lumia 2520 is said to have a 10.1-inch display having resolution Full HD 1080p resolution. It will be powered by Windows RT OS. Surprisingly, Nokia Lumia 2520 will cost $499(Rs. 32,435). It is to be seen that how Nokia going to change the perception of Windows RT in the mind of consumers. The tablet device is expected to hit US market in the month of October.It will be made available on Verizon with two color options to choose from.

Asha 500

Going by @evleaks trustworthy reputation, the leaked press image is a sure shot hint that WhatsApp will finally be available for Nokia's Asha series very soon.
