The Finland-based mobile maker Nokia might not unveil any new Lumia phones at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech show, according to a new report published today. There have been many rumors circulating about the 'Nokia X' smartphone, besides the coming of multiple Lumia handsets at MWC 2014.
Now all of the sudden a strange rumor like this could create a big controversy amongst Windows Phone users worldwide. The much anticipated Android-powered phone, the Nokia X, might be the only device we will get to see on February 24 in Barcelona, Spain.
There's no solid proof, as why Nokia would not be able to launch any new WP8 powered handsets under its Lumia series at MWC 2014. Just for the reminder, the same website (Nokia Power User) had previously reported that Nokia may announce a "new hardware brand post the deal closure announcement". Now whether the impending announcement has something related to Lumia series or upcoming wearable devices. We can't comment on the same. Well, a few hours back the Finnish giant released Nokia Lumia Icon, a 5-inch FHD Windows Phone 8 handset , in the American market.
With the launch of Lumia Icon, Nokia has once again clarfied that the company is committed to its Lumia series. And it reaffirms that Nokia shall continue making phones under existing Lumia series.

The Nokia Lumia 630 is expected to sport dual-SIM connectivity. Beyond that nothing much is known about the purported device. Other than the Lumia 630, the gossip mongers believe that one could see another phone from Nokia on the same day itself. Well, we are talking about the Lumia 870. It could be an upcoming WP8 handset, though; we don't know anything about such device yet.
