Oplus Launches XonPhone 5 Android KitKat Smartphone at Rs 7,999: Top 10 Pocket-Friendly Rivals

Taiwan-based smartphone maker Oplus has launched its latest XonPhone 5 smartphone in India at the price of Rs. 7,999. And with e-commerce backing its sales figures, Oplus is seto to sell the XonPhone 5 smartphone in the online market via Snapdeal from today onwards.

Oplus comes into the Indian smartphone scene when the market is flooded with a host of handsets that fall under the budget category. With the likes of Moto E, Moto G and Micromax Unite 2 already in the game, it is to be seen how the company does in the long run.

Oplus has used in XonPhone 5 a trending 5-inch IPS OGS display offering an HD display of 1280 x 720p churning out the pixel density of 320ppi. It comes powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core CPU coupled with 1GB RAM and runs on Android v4.4 KitKat.

Further, the XonPhone 5 features an 8 MP rear camera with Auto Focus, LED Flash and Geo-Tagging capabilities along with a 2 MP front facing shooter. Connectivity options like 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 & Hot Spot, Chromecast, USB 2.0, Dual SIM (micro SIM & mini SIM) can also be found in the handset.

Other specs include: 16GB on-board ROM, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card, and is powered by a 2000mAh battery. In the end, the smartphone will be offered in silver, grey and gold color variants.
