Chinese smartphone maker Oppo, which is aiming to capture the top position in its home land, on Tuesday launched two new Android-based mid-range handsets.
The N1 Mini costs 2,699 Yuan (about Rs. 25,656). It has a 5-inch display and features a 13-megapixel rotating camera with 1/3.2″ Sony IMX214 stacked sensor. Also, there's a new handset under the R series, the Oppo R3. It comes with a 5-inch display and runs on a modified version of Google's Android operating system. The R3 costs 2,299 Yuan (about Rs. 21, 853).
Oppo N1 Mini - Highlighted Specifications
The newly announced Oppo N1 Mini is a solid piece of hardware, both from inside and outside. The phone, Oppo N1 Mini, was hinted last month, and now it has been fully unmasked.
Oppo N1 Mini, as the name suggests, is a miniature version of the celebrated N1. The mini version is no different from its older brother in terms of design. It has a beautiful 5-inch IPS JDI touchscreen having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU paired with Adreno 305 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can expanded via a microSD card slot. The makers have added a 2140mAh battery fitted inside. The device measures 9.2mm in terms thick and weighs in at 150 grams.
One of the biggest selling points of the Oppo N1 Mini will be, indeed, its 13-megapixel rotating camera, which features 1/3.2″ Sony IMX214 stacked sensor, 6-element lens, an f/2.0 aperture, and an LED flash.
Furthermore, the Oppo N1 mini supports 4G LTE and 3G networks, alongside regular connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, among others.
The latest device runs on Oppo's native Color OS 1.4 which is based on Google's Android OS.The N1 Mini is expected to go on sale in China by next week. No word on India launch yet.
Oppo R3 - Highlighted Specifications
The LTE-enabled Oppo R3 is priced on a lower side when compared to other handsets in the same league. Talking about its specs sheet, the R3 sport a 5-inch HD display, a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, Color 1.4 ROM (based on Android OS), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB of on-board storage, with an option to expanded memory via a microSD card slot, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a 2420mAh battery fitted inside. The handset is said to go on sale in China sometime next month. No word on international release as of now.
