While the China-based smartphone maker -- Oppo has started selling its finest smartphone the Find 7 in India via online retailer Flipkart at the price of Rs. 37,990, in the mid-range section, the company has today launched its newest phone - the Oppo Neo 3 R831K at the price of Rs. 10,990 and can be bought in Black and White color variants.
The latest offering from Oppo is a successor to the company's previously launched Oppo Neo R831 smartphone and has a bit of improvements in terms of specs. The latest once features a higher RAM and a LED Flash which was not present in the former Neo smartphone. Apart from that, all the other specs remain the same.
Oppo Neo 3 R831K: Key Specifications
The Oppo Neo 3 R831K features a 4.5-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a FWVGA resolution of 854 ×480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor coupled with a 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2 with the company's homegrown ColorOS UI layered on top of it.
The latest smartphone also uses a 5MP Auto Focus rear Camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing snapper. Connectivity options include: 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and it is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) smartphone. Internal storage capacity is seated at 4GB but thanks to the microSD card slot which supports up top 32GB of additional memory. The device which measures 9.2mm thick comes powered by a 1900 mAh battery.
One of the feature that is quite impressive in the new phone from Oppo is that it has a Quick Reach mode that lets you draw a pattern on the screen and double tap on the display to launch apps and a Gesture panel to customize patterns.
Since Xiaomi - another most popular Chinese smartphone maker in India has released its latest Redmi 1S smartphone just recently, it is quite sure that the device will stand against most of the latest affordable smartphones. Thus, even the Oppo Neo 3 will have to face the threat from the Redmi 1S device as it features a pretty impressive specs and is priced as low as Rs. 7,000.
