Previously it was reported that Oppo's upcoming R7 smartphone could feature a bezel-less/ edge-to-edge display. The speculation has now been confirmed by Oppo itself.
Oppo on Tuesday posted a teaser image (see above) of the R7 on its official Facebook page, noting "Experience life without borders. The R7 is coming. #OPPOR7 ".

The teaser image only shows the upper half of the R7, which appears similar to the alleged prototypes showcased in a video from Sina tech posted last week. The image also notes that the smartphone will boast of 2.5D glass at the front.
Oppo has confirmed that the R7 is coming next month, but there is no official launch date as yet. Previously, the reports had noted that the announcement date is May 20. So far, it is speculated that the Oppo R7 apart from the bezel-less display will also have slightly curved sides, though it is nothing compared to Galaxy S6 Edge.
The rumor mill suggested that the R7 will include a fingerprint scanner and around 2000mAh battery. It will be among thinnest smartphones in the world, measuring thickness less than 4.85mm.

Meanwhile, reports also suggest that the Chinese manufacturer will also launch the Oppo R7 Max alongside Oppo R7. The R7 Max will reportedly be the premium device with a bigger battery and slightly bumped thickness.
Oppo's next flagship, dubbed as R7 is getting ready for its launch. The launch is scheduled for next month, while its bezel-less display has been teased officially. The R7 seems to sport a 2.5D glass in front and have curved edges, but not similar to Galaxy S6 Edge.
