After coming up with the thinnest smartphone - the R5 just a couple of weeks ago, now it seems like Oppo is planning to give its best with a new phone that will be powered by 64-bit processor. Dubbed as the U3, the new phone looks pretty promising as it has been spotted on the benchmark site recently.
Details pertaining to the phone has also been revealed via the GFXBench tool. As per the GFXbench listing, the Oppo U3 will sport a 4.6-inch full HD 1920x1080p display. It is powered by MediaTek's 64-bit MT6752 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
It would run on Android 4.4.4. (KitKat). In the imaging front, users would get a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing snapper as well.
The ‘U' range of phones from Oppo are normally powered by the Taiwanese SOC, and are usually only launched in China and certain Asian markets as an affordable alternative to their flagship range.
As of now, there is no word on the release date, but we expect Oppo U3 to be announced before the end of this year.
Moreover, the new phone will most probably tag along with the latest Oppo smartphones - the R5 and N3 in the market.
