Having captured the imagination of the Indian consumer with its recently launched smart phones, Hong Kong based Sunstrike Telecom's OPS 80D has been launched in the Indian market at Rs. 9,999. While the handset is currently available in a way cheaper price of Rs. 7,399 on e-commerce sectors like eBay and shopclues.
Sunstrike Telecom, which has been serving the semi urban segment of the Indian market with its Rage mobile series, is now expanding its smartphone portfolio in India with the new OPS 80D handset.
Going by the specs, the Sunstrike's Optima Smart series handset dubbed as OPS 80D comes with a 5 inch display.
It is powered by a 1.2 GHZ Dual Core Processor coupled with a 512MB of RAM and runs on Version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Operating System.
The affordable handset houses 4GB of internal storage capacity and will support up to 32 GB extra storage via microSD card.
Connectivity options in the handset remains pretty regular with 3G, WIFI, Bluetooth, Micro USB. On top of that the handset is also equipped with dual SIM facility with dual stand-by mode.
The handset is also capable of taking pictures with its 8.0MP rear camera which is accompanied with flash. While the selfies and video calling features could be handled by a 0.3MP front facing shooter.
To talk about the build, the smartphone comes with a metallic body finish and measures 143.4 x 74 x 10mm. It is powered by a 2200mAh Li-Polymer battery.
Other features in the handsets include Google Search, GTalk, Skype, GPS, P Sensor, Multi Languages, Preloaded Applications, Email, News and weather, Facebook, Hindi khoj, Times of India, Google chrome, Opera mini, ebay, whats app, Gmail, Playstore, Notes apk, G sensor, Black list.

Talking about the competition in the smartphone market, the newbie handset will have to face a serious challenges from major smartphone vendors like Micromax, Karbonn, Xolo, Lava, iBall, Intex and many others. Moreover, most of these manufacturers have been offering a serious devices very much similar to the OPS 80D. Xolo, Lava's premium smartphone subsidiary even has a quad core handset below Rs. 10,000. Thus the latest handset from Sunstrike Telecom will have to be able to cope up with the pressure.
