Since past few weeks, the phablet offering from LG - Optimus G - has been hot on heels on the Indian tech grounds. Gizbot has already done a report earlier in February, that the South Korean phone maker is all ready to launch Optimus G in India today, that is, February 27. All this was confirmed, when the tech world started receiving invite from the manufacturer for an event on the mentioned date, where the company confirmed, that they would launch the "Next Gen Genius" smartphone in Mumbai itself.
With a few hours left for the event to set off, the latest pre event buzz is that LG Optimus G has already been listed on the official LG India website at a price of Rs 35,500. LG says that "Prepare yourself for a world without limits where the impossible is now possible."
Further, the website has also revealed the stores, where the new handset will be available in states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
Well, but that's not all! In an attempt to build excitement among LG fans awaiting the launch of the handset, the company has also kicked off a contest on its Facebook page. In the contest, LG has claimed that the winner will be offered with a brand new Optimus G. To win, the interested participants will just have to tell "if you are a genius and why using" the new Android handset on the company's Twitter account.
Optimus G boasts a 4.7 inch True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 X 768 pixels, 1.5GHz quad core Qualcomm processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 1,3MP front camera for video calling, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and 2,100mAh battery.
At the same time, reports in the past have also informed that Optimus G was spotted online at Saholic for Rs 30,990. However, as of now, there is no information on the price of the handset on other e-commerce sites. The keen buyers will just have to wait till the evening today, to clear all the doubts about the heavyweight - LG Optimus G.
