LG has been in the limelight ever since it's most rumored handset Optimus G2 has hit the tech world right, left and center. Not only that but the Korean giant, famous for its display technology has also proved its glory with the Optimus G Pro. Moreover, it is not only focusing on the high end mobile phone category but it is also making a huge progress in the lower mid range market.
Apart from the online hypes of LG Optimus G2 and other high end handsets, LG Optimus L4 2 Dual that was officially announced last month along with its single SIM variant has now hit the online retails recently. The device is now available for buying at Rs. 8,990 on Flipkart and Infibeam. The LG Optimus L4 II Dual comes in Black and White color variant.
Talking about the specs of Optimus L4 2 Dual that falls in the bracket of the Optimus L series and comes with a similar configuration like its sibling Optimus L4 2. The only difference between the two devices is that the former is a Dual SIM and the latter comes with a single SIM.
However, the Optimus L4 II dual sports a 3.8-inch capacitive touch screen IPS display offering a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The display offers 16 M color depth and comes with the pixel density of 152 ppi. The handset is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and MediaTek MT6575 chipset with PowerVR SGX531 graphics. The processor is also supported by a 512MB RAM. The dual SIM L4 2 Dual runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. Talking about camera, the handset comes packed with a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash but lacks front camera.
Connectivity options remains to be 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, aGPS, WLAN, and USB. As mentioned earlier, the handset comes with a dual SIM support with dual standby and features a dedicated SIM switch key seen in the other dual SIM L Series II devices.

The device is powered by a Li-Ion 1700 mAh battery that offers up to 100 hours of standby and up to 4 hours of talktime.
Witnessing the stiff competition in the smartphone market in India, this handset will be liable to contest various other devices from multiple manufacturers in India. Moreover, the homegrown smartphones will be more hard on L4 2 Dual as almost all the desi devices these days come with a dual SIM support. Thus looking from the perspective of Dual SIM capability and price factor at the same time, the L4 2 Dual is likely to run a race against devices like Karbonn Smart A111, Karbonn Smart A27+, Spice Coolpad 2 Mi-496, Xolo Q600, Micromax Canvas Lite A92, Lava Iris 458q, Micromax Canvas Music A88 and others like Sony Xperia E, Samsung Galaxy Young S6312 and Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i.
