Panasonic P31: 5 Inch Quad Core Smartphone Goes Official in India At Rs 11,990
Panasonic is taking on the Android brigade with its most innovative handset, the P31. The phone, the Panasonic P31, comes with "Play Life" User interface (UI) slapped on the top of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Panasonic P31 will be made available across India from the second week of March, at the best price of Rs. 11,990.
The Panasonic P31 is the latest handset to be launched under "P" series. The series will basically target masses, and it would not be a challenge to predetermine P31's specs in advance.
The P31 features a 5-inch FWVGA display having a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. Under the hood, the phone features a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.

On the imaging front, the phone incorporates an 8-megapixel rear-facing Auto Focus shooter, and a VGA quality camera on the front side. Talking about its connectivity options, the P31 does come with a 2,000mAh battery. Other options include: 3G, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and more.
What makes the Panasonic P31 different from other clutter of handsets? Well, its User interface (UI), which Panasonic has added, will differentiate it from rival handsets. The "Play Life" UI has four core innovative features: Gesture Play, Pop-I Player, Music Café, Ultimate Saver.
Panasonic's P31 will directly compete against smartphones from the likes of Motorola, Micromax, Xolo and others.
Earlier last year, Panasonic entered Indian market with the P51, which was slightly overpriced when compared to rival handsets. Beginning this year, Panasonic is eyeing to capture the feature phone market. Recently, the company has launched two models under its feature phone segment.
