South Korean mobile manufacturer Pantech is looking to take the fight with Samsung's Galaxy S4 and LG Optimus G Pro, as it preps up to launch it's new flagship smartphone Vega Iron. Reports have been fishing in the online world lately, that the South Korean manufacturer is about to take wraps off a massive bezel-less device, codenamed IM-A870.
Now some authenticity has been added to those rumors, as a new teaser image is twiddling across tech media, which says " All New Vega is coming" on April 18. As for the specifications of the handset, Ruliweb / Daum, says that Vega Iron which runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean comes with a 5 inch 1920 x 1080p Display, quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, LTE connectivity, NFC and a 2,150 mAh battery. The smartphone is said to weigh at 154 grams, and measures 136.3 × 67.7 × 8.8 mm.
For now, there is no information on the design aesthetics of the smartphone. But this is reportedly confirmed that handset will officially be unveiled in South Korea on April 18. Again, there is no information on the price of the smartphone, nor if it will be made available in other countries.
Previously the company launched their phablet Vega No 6 in February 2013, which was made available in other countries, as well. Perhaps, the new smartphone will also be made available in other counties, too.
The smartphone boasted specs like Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean , 5.9 inch 1080p display, quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, 32 GB internal memory, SD-Card slot up to 2 TB, 13-megapixel rear facing camera, with autofocus, LED flash, 2 MP front camera, connectivity features including LTE support, Bluetooth, NFC, microUSB and a 3140 mAh battery. The handset is approximately priced at Rs. 42,011.
