The two new 3G Android phones from Philips are named Philips X726 and Philips X9320.
Before this, Philips had already launched its Xenium brand Philips Mobiles in the Indian market. Five such new editions were introduced. The phones were enabled with some supreme features like a 5 mega pixel camera, Dual SIM compatibility and also 3 inch touch screen. The Dual SIM phone consists of many other features and that too at very affordable price ranges. So it's hoped that Philip will adopt the same strategy and price policy for the yet to be released 3G Android handsets too.
Philips X726 is decided to be a Dual SIM smart phone to every one's surprise. The phone which will be fitted with a capacitive touch screen will be running on an Android 2.3 Ginger bread platform. Thus, the phone has given great expectations to people who have heard about it. The Li ion battery that's included in the handset is claimed to have a standby time of 40 days and also a talk time of up to 15 hours. General features in the handset include an inbuilt FM Radio and also a Bluetooth device for connectivity. It's a version 2.1 and also enhanced with an A2DP technology. In addition, it has inbuilt java games and other miscellaneous applications. The handset comes with several other updates in its technical configuration. Meanwhile, Philips X9320 will also feature a Dual SIM support in addition to its 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen. The phone will have the added advantage of a video calling option unlike the other one, with its primary and a secondary camera.
The price for the Philips X726 new phones will be decided very soon by the manufacturers and one solid reason for one wondering why, is the recently launched Philips Xenium series of Philips handsets whose price in India starts from roughly Rs 1,800.
