Samsung is about to roll out a new low-end feature phone. The model will be introduced in to the market with name Samsung GT-E1260B. The feature phone will have its debut in the Brazilian market. As per the company sources, this model won’t be offered as part of post-paid contract and it is targeted only towards the prepaid market.
Samsung GT-E1260B looks a lot similar to the previous model GT-E2220 which was launched sometime back. This model also carries a nick name Ch@t 220. The only changes that is in GT-E1260B compared to that of Samsung GT-E2220 is that it does not make use of camera and also a smaller screen display size of 2 inches is used instead of 2.2 inches in GT-E2220. This feature phone will have a screen display resolution of 160 x 128 pixels.
This feature phone makes use of a keypad which has an in-built QWERTY navigation system. The connectivity options in this feature phone include a 3.5 mm ear jack that provides uninterrupted audio output. The feature phone also has USB connectivity which helps the users to have high speed data transfer. It is a GSM phone which is powered by 800mAh battery.
Samsung GT-E1260B makes use of TFT technology and the feature phone weighs approximately 92 grams. Call waiting and call forwarding features are also present in this chat phone. Users will be only able to send and receive SMS where as there is no MMS or e-mail function available in this phone.
Users can enjoy radio functionality and can also hear the song or calls by enabling the loudspeaker function present in the phone. There is a vibration mode too. Other common features present in this feature phone include calculator, alarm as well as organizer. The feature list look impressive for a basic entry level feature phone.
This feature phone is expected to be available in an affordable price range. But there is no details as of now on the exact price tag, but it is sure to be somewhere around Rs. 5,000/-.
